We’re looking for a C#/.NET Core Web Developer to join and help lead our growing team.
Listers Group is one of the UK’s largest family-owned and operated automotive groups. Our award-winning development team is responsible for the online side of the business, where we have aspirations of leading the automotive market in the areas of e-commerce, finance and insurance and online customer service.
You’ll be working as part of a remote team that operates a suite of applications and services that help our businesses retain a competitive edge by giving them real-time access to information about the business, the vehicles we sell and the services we offer.
About you:
You’ll be a software developer, using Microsoft technologies on a daily basis, be interested in other emerging technologies from other providers, and enjoy being a productive part of a small team of developers. You’ll have worked with third-party APIs and have a good understanding of how systems work with each other. You’ll understand the importance of working to requirements but will have the courage to question norms. You'll use solid techniques and patterns to deliver solid results, and look forward to being involved in the planning, development, and on-going maintenance of new and existing projects.
You should:
- Have demonstrable skills in C# and ASP.NET with some experience of using .NET Core
- Be comfortable with front-end scripting, JavaScript design patterns and frameworks
- Use version control systems on a regular basis and know how to use them effectively
- Be comfortable using agile methodologies throughout development and delivery
- Show a strong desire to learn and grow your skills and knowledge
- Have strong communication skills
- Be able to demonstrate your ideas quickly using wireframes and prototypes
Experience of using other technologies such as Azure, Amazon Web Services, Node.js, RabbitMQ, Redis or MongoDB will be beneficial, though training and guidance will be provided to the right candidate.
You'll be working closely with the Lead Developer and Senior Developers and will be part of the team that is the driving force behind the online services offered by Listers.
